Melissa says:

Heather, my best friend, has agreed to be Maid of Honour despite her upcoming busy summer next year. Heather and I have known each other since at least 1997 and we became great friends by '98. She introduced Ryan and I in '99 and is technically Ryan's aunt. Heather is my hobby-buddy and my general go-anywhere, do-anything gal. Heather taught me how to knit. I would be so lost without Heather.

Ryan says:

Heading up the list of groomsmen is Christopher Sutherland, my brother. Chris is an improvisational martial artist who digs dabbling in playing guitar and weapon crafting. When it came to choosing a best man, Chris was the obvious choice, as he’s known me longer than anyone but the generations up the line in my family. He’s seen me at my worst, and he’s seen me shine. You’ll recognize him at the wedding as the guy carrying the 7 ft. nodachi. Heh. With Chris, I may or may not be joking.

Melissa says:

Anne is one of my closest friends, and I've known her since the tenth grade when she suddenly arrived to bewilder us with her charm and spunk. Anne was a pirate in the school play. Anne really knows how to keep my head on straight. Yay for Anne!

Ryan says:

Jasmin and I have known each other for only a relatively short while, but she’s proven time and time again that she is willing to lend a shoulder to people in need of one. She’s a poet, a solid pagan, and an excellent singer who is making the move into the realm of stringed instruments. In the spirit of being a groomsmaid she’ll be wearing a tux, and will probably be found drinking SoCo and causing minor mischief.

Melissa says:

Lari, my first best friend in high school, has agreed to be a bridesmaid! I am so excited about this. She's just gotten married herself this spring, but she's awesomely found the time somehow to do this for me. Now I have all my best friends from high school, the closest people I have to sisters, with me on my wedding day, and I feel so blessed.
